Our foundations
Each year, Honda’s three North American-based foundations – the American Honda Foundation, the Honda of America Mfg. Foundation, and the Honda Canada Foundation – provide grants to non-profit organizations that meet certain criteria. They are Honda’s philanthropic arms in the communities.

Honda Marine Science Foundation
Inspired by the Japanese concept of sato-umi – the convergence of land and sea where human and marine life can harmoniously coexist – Honda established the Honda Marine Science Foundation in 2017, a new initiative to address marine ecosystem restoration and the impact of humans and climate change on oceans and intertidal areas.

American Honda Foundation
The American Honda Foundation (AHF) was established to commemorate Honda’s 25th anniversary in the United States and to show our appreciation for America’s support of our brand throughout the years. AHF provides grants to U.S. non-profits working in the areas of youth and scientific education and provides assistance for communities in need.

Honda of America Mfg. Foundation
Since 1979, Honda has manufactured automobiles, motorcycles, and engines in Ohio using globally and domestic-sourced parts. The Honda of America Mfg. Foundation began in 1981 and supports community projects and non-profit organizations throughout the state. Since its inception, the foundation has given $50 million to charitable organizations in Ohio.
