Honda CSR Funding Opportunities
Honda’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision is to help people fulfill their life’s potential. We support this vision by investing in the communities where we live and work through meaningful funding opportunities. Honda CSR funding is available through two sources: Honda corporate and the Honda USA Foundation.
Honda corporate and the Honda USA Foundation provide funding opportunities for programmatic support. Additionally, Honda corporate offers community event sponsorships. Each funding request is evaluated on its own merit, with consideration given to community needs, impact, and available resources.
Below, you’ll find detailed information including available funding opportunities, eligibility criteria and application instructions for both programmatic support and community event sponsorships.
Honda corporate and the Honda USA Foundation provide funding to nonprofit organizations and schools to support high impact programs that align with our pillar awards.
Year-over-year certain pillar awards may not be open for funding, are subject to change, and in some cases, Honda may extend invitation-only opportunities to select community partners.
Applications for Honda’s 2027 Funding Cycle are now available for select pillar award opportunities. Due to the high level of interest, each request is reviewed on its own merit, with consideration given to alignment with Honda’s funding priorities, anticipated community impact, and overall program strength. Grant recipients may be considered for renewal in future funding cycles; however, renewal is not guaranteed and will depend on continued alignment, demonstrated impact, and available resources.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on October 31, 2026
Submissions received after 11:59 PM Pacific Time on October 31, 2026 cannot be accepted, and no exceptions will be granted
Decision Notification: Spring 2027
Request Range: $25,000 - $100,000
Honda and the Honda USA Foundation primarily fund organizations with annual operating budgets over $500,000
Multiple applications for the same program are not permitted

As a company deeply rooted in the communities we serve, Honda corporate is proud to sponsor community events that celebrate and uphold the rich cultures, heritages, and traditions of the communities where we live and work. Honda is committed to the collective strength of our communities. In doing so, we strive to be a company that society wants to exist.
Available sponsorship commitments for the current fiscal year have been fully allocated. The Event Sponsorship application is currently closed and is not accepting submissions.
We anticipate the next application opportunity will be available in early 2027 for events taking place in April 2027 or later. Updates will be posted on this webpage as they become available.
Organization Eligibility
To be considered, organizations must meet the following requirements:
Organizations must be located in the United States
Organizations must meet one of the two classifications:
Hold nonprofit tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or utilize a tax-exempt, non-profit fiscal sponsor
Schools and school districts as listed by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
Organizations Not Eligible
The following types of organizations are not eligible for funding:
Organizations ineligible for contributions under any state or federal law
Organizations with a pending 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity status
Political parties, candidates, or campaigns
Private clubs, fraternities, or sororities
Organizations that represent a conflict of interest with Honda
Organizations located outside the U.S. or those whose funds are used outside the U.S.
Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, age, religion, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, veteran or military status, marital status, family status, genetic information, or any other status protected by law
Requests Not Eligible
The following types of requests will not be considered:
Requests to support athletic teams
Requests from individuals
Request to support political parties, candidates, or campaigns
Requests submitted outside of the online system
Requests for funds to be used on completed programs or events
Request for programs or events that are organized or implemented for religious purposes
Geographic Scope
For programmatic funding, proposed programs must serve one or more of the following states where Honda has major U.S. corporate operations:
Alabama
California
Colorado
Connecticut
District of Columbia
Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Iowa
Michigan
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
Ohio
Oregon
South Carolina
Texas
For Community Event Sponsorship requests, events must take place in one of Honda’s designated counties (please review the Eligible County List.)
Please note, funding opportunities are open to programs and/or events that serve communities where Honda has corporate operations. Honda and Acura dealerships are independently owned and operated.

Additionally, associates cannot recommend specific pillars, programs, or events for your application.
Funding Agreements
If awarded funding, Honda and the Honda USA Foundation expect awardees to execute our standard agreements. Failure to sign the standard agreements “as is” may result in the award being rescinded.
Associate Engagement
Honda actively fosters a culture of community involvement by empowering associates to lead and participate in impactful engagement initiatives. To deepen our impact, Honda exclusively organizes associate engagement opportunities with our funded partners.
