Education Pillar Award:

As Honda strives to cultivate a future-ready workforce, we are seeking to support hands-on programs that provide manufacturing industry-relevant workforce pipeline initiatives focused on design, software/data analytics and artificial intelligence/machine learning/automation.

Our overarching goal is to inspire the next generation, fostering a resilient and innovative workforce that will drive our future success and contribute to economic prosperity within our communities where we live and work.

Only programs that strengthen the manufacturing workforce pipeline by preparing individuals for current operations and future innovations will be considered. Priority will be given to programs that:

  • Train for manufacturing roles such as machine operators, equipment technicians, and maintenance specialists – supporting immediate and future production needs.
  • Develop technical skills in mechanical/electrical design, systems optimization, and data analytics – applicable to today’s operations and foundational for future technologies.
  • Introduce automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance current systems while building readiness for evolving manufacturing environments.

Environment Pillar Award:

Honda is working to reduce our environmental impact, which is central to our sustainability vision. Our approach focuses on three key areas: decarbonizing our products and operations, using clean energy, and using natural resources efficiently. Through education, awareness, and infrastructure programs, we are seeking to support programs within our communities that share our mission to protect the health of our planet.

Only programs that directly address the following key focus areas will be considered:

  • Decarbonization (e.g., energy efficiency and/or upgrades, reforestation/tree planting, greenspace)
  • Clean Energy (e.g., onsite solar and/or wind installation)
  • Efficient Use of Natural Resources (e.g., changing to and using more sustainable materials, recycling, repurposing, composting, food recovery, water intake reduction, zero waste)
