Honda Canada Supports Furry Friends Through SPCA

Associates from Honda Canada chipped in recently to help their furry friends in need.

Associates raised money and collected animal care items and food for animals in the care of the Ontario Society from the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). This marks the first time Honda Canada has supported the organization.

Associates raised $9,535 through a clothing sale and also collected items for the animals including gently used blankets, linens, towels, as well as cat and dog food/treats, new food/water dishes, leashes/collars and dog/cat toys.

Dave Jamieson, Chair of the Honda Canada Foundation, presented the check to Dave Wilson, Director of Shelter Health & Wellness at Ontario SPCA last week.

Through its province-wide network of 50 plus communities, the Ontario SPCA is one of the largest animal welfare organizations in the country, providing care and shelter for tens of thousands of animals every year.

As a non-profit charitable organization, the Ontario SPCA is unique amongst animal welfare organizations in Ontario: the Ontario SPCA Act mandates the Society to enforce animal cruelty laws and provides Ontario SPCA community investigators with police powers to do so.
