Honda Celebrates Pride Month

June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month and Honda and its business resource groups (BRGs) are planning Pride activities to signify the commitment to being an inclusive company that believes in and supports the power of all associates. Activities are intended to uplift, celebrate and commemorate the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.

Pride Month commemorates the historic Stonewall Rebellion of June 1969, which helped launch the LGBTQ+ social and civil rights movement. Honda participates in Pride-related activities because it aligns with the foundational philosophy of respect for the individual, and commitment to creating an environment where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.

In recognition of Pride Month, Honda is raising the rainbow pride flag at all American Honda (AHM) and Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA) locations for the entire month of June. The pride flag is recognized globally as a symbol of LGBTQ+ pride.

In addition, through Team Honda Week(s) of Service, Honda volunteers are participating virtually in two projects with the Los Angeles LGBT Center; in several virtual Pride month events at Honda locations and virtual Pride events in several local communities in lieu of in-person parades.
