Honda Associates Support UNCF Virtual Walk for Education
Honda associates across the U.S. supported the UNCF Virtual Walk for Education by walking in their own neighborhoods on Sept. 19.
Associates from four Honda locations took to the streets to raise awareness – and money – for the organization by walking, cycling and running.
The organization awards 10,000 schoarships per year to help students earn their college degrees.
Honda supports five UNCF chapters throughout the U.S. in California (AHM), Ohio (HAM/HRA), South Carolina (HSC), Alabama (HMA) and Indianapolis (HMIN).
At Honda R&D, 12 associates walked as part of the team, including Tito Adenihun, who walked 3.2 miles in her California neighborhood in just over one hour.
The UNCF Virtual Walk for Education is a nationwide initiative to raise the critical funds UNCF needs to fulfill its mission of support to its member Historically Black Colleges and Universities and to help students pursue their educational endeavors.
