Indiana Associates Join with Pacers to Help Students Dream Big

As part of the Indiana Pacers’ and Honda Manufacturing of Indiana (HMIN)’s “Dream Big” Initiative, celebrating MLK Day and Black History Month, associates traveled to Garden City Elementary in Indianapolis this month to inspire students to aim high and embrace their dreams.

Through this event, students heard from Pacers alumni about the contributions African-Americans have made to our country and how dreaming big made them who they are today.

Ten Honda associates helped students create their own super hero capes at the event, with help from Pacers Sports & Entertainment, as well as members of the Indiana Pacemates and Boomer.

The “Dream BIG” philosophy teaches others to think beyond current circumstances. It engages youth by educating them about black history and teaches that it can start with just one person choosing to make a change to positively impact their future.
