Volunteers Help Local Restaurant Serving Hungry Neighbors

A group of volunteer associates from Honda Transmission Manufacturing (HTM) helped brighten up the location of a local nonprofit organization that serves people in need in Ohio.

Table One Ministries in Kenton, Ohio is a non-profit restaurant where diners pay what they can afford, and if they are unable to pay, they provide their time in service as payment. Diners can also pay a little extra for their meal to “pay it forward” to those who cannot afford a meal.

Six Honda volunteers joined together on Dec. 1, to help the restaurant staff take down the tiles from the drop ceiling in their banquet room, paint and re-install the freshly-painted tiles. Associates also assisted with painting the ceiling frame.

Table One’s mission is to provide a place where neighbors eat and come together as one community. To learn more about Table One, visit the organization’s website at http://tableonekenton.com.
