Honda associates in South Carolina shared the joy of manufacturing with their local community recently at the 15th annual Pecan Festival in in Florence, SC.

More than 50,000 people were expected to attend the festival held Nov. 3.

Honda associates created a “Stem Zone” for youngsters to participate in some hands-on learning activities at the Honda booth. Roughly 15 associates worked in shifts, assisting in setting up simple ATV and Side-by-side assembly projects for youngsters attending the festival.

Youngsters participating in the activities got to spin the prize wheel to spin after completing an assembly for a chance to win various Honda items: like fidget spinners, tape measures, t-shirts, pop sockets, pencils, rulers, staple-less staplers, and candy bags.

It was a wonderful event and associates were full of pride as they engaged with students of all ages and shared how cool manufacturing can be!
