Honda R&D Associates Volunteer at OSU Hackathon
Honda R&D Americas, Inc. recently sponsored HackOHI/O, a 24-hour hackathon for Ohio State University students to design, build, and demonstrate tech projects to a live audience of students, faculty, and representatives from tech companies. HackOHI/O is put on by OHI/O, a student-led organization that aims to build and foster the tech community at Ohio State University.
Honda offered a hack challenge to students with a grand prize for the winner. The challenge was to develop an app that allows customers to maximize their quality of life and/or productivity during commute time in a Honda vehicle. James Schumacher, Honda R&D ISD manager, was a guest speaker for the event along with 5 other volunteer mentors.
The event attracted over 750 undergraduate and graduate students.
