Honda School Supply Drives Get Kids Ready for Success

School is back in session and with it comes the need for new pencils, notebooks, backpacks and other tools for the new school year. Honda associates across the U.S. have been collecting and donating back to school supplies for students in need.

Below are a few of the Honda companies that participated in school supply drives for the new school year:

  • Associates at Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc. (HAM), in partnership with those at Honda Federal Credit Union, Penske and Honda Transmission Manufacturing, collected school supplies as part of a Back to School Drive July 16 – Aug. 6. All donations were distributed through local United Way chapters.
  • Honda of South Carolina collected supplies and donated them to students from Elementary to High school in Florence School District Four in Timmonsville, SC. Items were delivered to the school during the middle school orientation prep rally on Aug. 22.
  • Associates at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. in Ohio teamed up to benefit deserving students by donating loads of school supplies. Associates donated 27 Backpacks. 152 accessories, 161 binders and folders, 271 notebooks and paper and 303 writing supplies. The items collected will serve roughly 200 students through Bright Futures, alongside the Logan County Neighborhood Outreach, Inc.
  • Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, Inc. sponsored a “Stuff the Bus” School Supply Drive
