Urban League Opens Center Named After Honda in Columbus

To celebrate 100 years of serving Columbus, the Columbus Urban League dedicated its new Huntington Empowerment Center this month, with support from Honda companies in Ohio.

The center will host a variety of services related to career and other Urban League programs designed to help underserved youth in the community.
Within the Huntington Empowerment Center, the CUL dedicated the Honda Entrepreneurial Resource Center to honor Honda for its generosity over the years.

The Honda Entrepreneurial Resource Center will provide training, certifications, contracts and capital for small businesses to utilize in preparation for growth. These services will support the CUL’s three main areas of focus, foundational education, economic transformation, and family stabilization. The significance of this partnership between Honda and the CUL, will now be visible to the surrounding communities and continue to have a positive impact on over 7,000 people annually.

Honda has supported CUL over the years and their mission of Empowering Communities and Changing Lives! Honda is a presenting sponsor of the National Urban League conference, which will be held in Columbus this summer.
