Honda volunteers recently spent some quality time with residents of Ohio Living Dorothy Love retirement community in Sidney, Ohio.

About 16 associates spent a recent Saturday chatting with and getting to know some of the residents. The group broke off into different conversation groups, then got back together and shared some of the residents’ fascinating stories.

One of the more poignant stories came from a 93-year-old resident from Poland who is a Holocaust survivor. “It was amazing to listen to her story,” said Ginger Haynes, of Honda of America Manufacturing Inc.

At the end of the event, the Honda volunteers played a trivia game with the residents, provided goodie bags and a gift card they could use to purchase items from the on-site gift shop.

“I think everyone would agree it was an extremely rewarding experience to share a couple of hours of our time with some pretty special ladies,” said Haynes.
