With support from Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC (HMA), the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) officials broke ground on the future million dollar nursing center in Talladega County, Alabama. The new nursing center will serve as a mini hospital and will provide comprehensive healthcare services to over 24,000 individuals in Alabama and to the 2,000 children and adults on AIDB’s campuses.

Allen Cope, HMA Corporate Attorney and AIDB Foundation board member attended the ground breaking and spoke of the medical needs the new center will address in the community when it opens in 2018. The AIDB Foundation Board director announced they are expecting to meet the $1.3 million fundraising goal from the generous donations from individuals across the globe and locally, corporations such as HMA and the foundation board members.
