Volunteers Help Take Down Zoo Lights

Spring is here, which means it was time to take down the 3+ million lights used during the Columbus Zoo’s annual Wildlights celebration. Honda of America Mfg.’s HondaGO team was at the ready. Nearly 60 volunteers descended upon the zoo recently over the course of two days to assist the zoo in removing lights.

This was the fourth year HondaGO volunteers participated in the event, but the first for a group of Honda co-ops. The experience provided co-ops with an opportunity to get out into our local communities to see why Honda continues to be a company that society wants to exist.

Wildlights, an annual celebration of winter and the holidays in Columbus, OH attracts roughly 100,000 people per year.
