Honda’s McLemore Honored For Educational Development Programs
MARYSVILLE, Ohio (May 29, 2019) – As the leader of Honda’s Workforce Development initiative, Scot McLemore has many touchpoints to the next generation of the manufacturing workforce.
Whether it is through the Mobile Fab Lab program at Central Ohio middle and high schools, the EPIC Initiative that provides career exploration pathways for students of all ages, or supporting STEM programs at schools and career centers, McLemore paces the Honda programs that show Ohio students the many opportunities that are available in the manufacturing career field.
McLemore’s efforts will be recognized at the High Impact Technology Exchange Conference (HI-TEC) event with the organization’s Industry Recognition Award, which is given to industry colleagues who make significant contributions to the education and training of today’s technology workforce.
“I am very pleased that our efforts at Honda have been recognized by HI-TEC,” said McLemore. “We believe that anything we can do to create paths to help the next generation secure well-paying and rewarding jobs in manufacturing will pay dividends not only for our industry, but for our communities and the people that live in them.”
McLemore will be honored at the HI-TEC conference in St. Louis, July 24.
