This year marked the 14th year Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) participated in the Read Across America Day, held annually on March 1, in honor of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.

HMA associates went to three elementary schools this year to spread the love of reading with students. Nearly 65 associates joined in the effort. For the second consecutive year as part of RAA Day, HMA added a new partner school, Coosa Valley Elementary School to the two existing partner schools, Lincoln and Stemley Road Elementary Schools, reaching over 900 elementary school children. Roughly 45 million people participate in the national event each year, which kicks off National Reading Month.
