2019 Honda HR-V and Acura MDX Earn Highest Safety Rating
The 2019 Honda HR-V and Acura MDX and MDX Sport Hybrid achieved a 5-star overall crash safety rating from the National Highway Transportation Safety Association (NHTSA), the agency’s highest rating.
The 5-Star Safety Ratings program evaluates how vehicles perform in crash tests. NHTSA conducts frontal, side and rollover tests because these types of accidents account for the majority of crashes on America’s roadways.
A total of eight Honda and five Acura models carry the 5-Star safety rating, including the 2019 Honda Fit, Ridgeline and Odyssey, 2018 Accord, Civic, CR-V and Pilot; and the 2019 Acura TLX and RLX and the 2018 Acura ILX and RDX.
