Associates Assist Ohio Homeowners through Rebuilding Together
This spring, Honda associates have partnered with Rebuilding Together to assist in home rehabilitation in two areas: Central Ohio and Dayton.
Rebuilding Together is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that assists low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled, to live in warmth, safety and independence by building community partnerships and providing home rehabilitation.
Roughly 20 associates from Honda of America Mfg. Inc. assisted with each project.
Jon Raudenbush, a quality engineer in Purchasing at Honda’s Anna Engine Plant, said he loves that Honda supports volunteer projects like Rebuilding Together. “Most of the people I worked with at the project are people I work closely with at Honda. The bond and teamwork we’ve developed at work made the volunteer project go smooth and we were able to accomplish a lot of work in a short amount of time,” he said. “Seeing the enjoyment and appreciation that the owner of the house expressed to everyone who worked on his house gave me an awesome feeling. Knowing that the company I work for sponsors and encourages volunteering makes me appreciate the company even more.”
Honda has been a long-time supporter of Rebuilding Together.
