Honda joined with representatives from area school districts, colleges and businesses to celebrate a new mobile manufacturing training lab this week. The mobile manufacturing training lab will highlight the high tech jobs and equipment that are the backbone of manufacturing and will help train current and future associates for in-demand jobs.

Manufacturing is the fourth largest employer in the country. These mobile labs will help take manufacturing training across the region to areas without technical training schools. The labs provide real-world equipment and on-site training for incumbent workers.

“This Mobile Manufacturing Lab will not only highlight the high tech jobs & equipment that are the backbone of so many manufactures, but it will help train current & future associates for in-demand jobs, like equipment service technicians,” said Paul Dentinger, Mfg Tech Division Mgr at Honda of America Mfg.

The Mobile Manufacturing Training Labs is a partnership between Honda of America Mfg., Marion Technical College and Ohio Hi-Point Career and Technical Center in Bellefontaine, OH.
