Acura Supports STEM Labs in Columbus Schools

Acura, along with the Columbus Crew Soccer Club (SC), recently unveiled two renovated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) classrooms at Linden-McKinley STEM Academy in Columbus, OH.

Crew players joined representatives from Acura and Columbus City Schools last month to present the newly-renovated rooms— one for middle school students, one for high school students — complete with computers, workstations and a 3D printer for each room.

The event is part of Acura’s ongoing partnership with the Columbus Crew. This past spring, the Crew and Acura participated in a community garden project and have been developing a plan to assist with STEM labs at the school since that time.
In addition to opening the rooms, Acura plans to hold a series of “Lunch and Learn” sessions and offer an eight-week STEM Design Challenge for Linden-McKinley students, to give students a chance to interact with Acura’s engineers.
