Kids Around the Globe to Receive Shoeboxes Full of Christmas Cheer

Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) hosted an “Operation Christmas Child” shoebox event where more than 50 associates filled shoebox “gift boxes” for children across the world.

Operation Christmas Child is a way to touch the lives of children all around the world and bring hope in the form of a simple gift. Shoeboxes are filled with toys and gifts and distributed to children in need. Since 1993, OCC has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to over 146 million children in more than 100 countries.

HMA associates and volunteers filled 250 boxes with sewing kits, crayons, coloring books, toothbrushes, jump ropes and more playful and helpful goodies. Associates then loaded up the boxes and delivered them to a church, who shipped the boxes to an OCC processing center in Atlanta for international distribution.
