Honda Supports TMCF Students Through Annual Scholarship
Honda is supporting students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) once again this year by awarding scholarships to five students through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF).
Honda announced the spring 2022 scholarship awards during the organization’s annual Leadership Institute this fall to the following students:
"This scholarship means a lot to me because of what I can accomplish with this,” said Khalel Robinson, a junior at Virginia State University.
In addition to the scholarships, Honda invited the students to interview for co-op positions.
Lawson, who is from Crossett, Arkansas, and enjoys working on cars in his spare time said, "This scholarship means the world to me. It was awarded unexpectedly after putting forth great effort in connecting at the Leadership Institute”."
Each year, Honda awards $25,000 in scholarships to TMCF students. Honda initiated the annual scholarship fund with TMCF in 2018 for students pursuing degrees in the fields of engineering, supply chain and manufacturing at HBCUs.
