Honda Supports Magic City Classic

Honda Manufacturing of Alabama (HMA) and Honda Power Equipment (HPE) once again took part in the McDonald’s Magic City Classic, the largest attended and longest held Historically Black College and University event in the nation. This football rivalry pits Alabama State University against Alabama A&M University in the highly-anticipated game.

Honda companies sponsored pre-game festivities including the annual parade and tailgate sponsor village. Parade attendees enjoyed entertainment from local bands as well as bands from across the southeast, performing arts groups, decorative floats and a performance by Ludacris.

This year, HMA associates drove a 2017 Honda Ridgeline, an Acura MDX and an HPE wrapped Honda Pilot in the annual parade. In the tailgate sponsor village, HMA and HPE provided popcorn, give-away items and a chance to win a Honda Generator to the more than 60,000 fans who were not attending the game.
The city of Birmingham, Alabama welcomed more than 130,000 fans to the 75th annual event.
